Reminds me of the JB Weld that was holding my bypass hose together when I got the car......

Snapped a bolt on my thermostat housing on a ‘96 Ram van. After days of trying to get it out in single digit weather, I proceeded to clamp and JB weld it shut. held for a while. wasn’t proud of the craftsmanship . but worked

plenty of bodge jobs are motivated by not wanting to be out in the cold weather.

and when the bodge holds for the next 6 months, when warm weather is around again you are tricked into thinking “well, it’s held this long... why mess with it”
